Recently, I had the opportunity to lead a basic photography workshop for Richmond Caregivers, RCRG. As a community project, it was both challenging and rewarding to teach photography to a diverse group of individuals. The workshop was tailored to provide a comprehensive understanding of photography, from the fundamentals of visualization to the process of capturing the final image.

Despite being a beginner’s workshop, I was impressed by the participants’ enthusiasm and willingness to learn. They approached each lesson with an open mind, eager to explore new ideas and techniques. The workshop covered a range of topics, including exposure, composition, lighting, and editing. The participants were able to apply these concepts during hands-on sessions, allowing them to see their progress and gain confidence in their newfound skills.

It was heartening to see the participants enjoy themselves and have fun while learning. Photography is a powerful medium that can not only capture beautiful images but also serve as a means of self-expression and storytelling. I believe this workshop provided the participants with a creative outlet and a new perspective on the world around them.

Overall, it was an immensely satisfying experience to teach this workshop for RCRG. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for photography with the community and to see the participants develop their skills and creativity
